I am a passionate, multi-lingual therapist fluent in Hindi and Urdu, dedicated to supporting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. With a deep commitment to trauma-informed care, I help individuals and couples navigate challenges such as trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and relational difficulties.
My approach is person-centered, enriched by psychodynamic and existential influences, ensuring a tailored experience for each client. I create a warm, accepting, and encouraging space where clients are seen and understood, fostering a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, consistency, and support. Through empathetic, evidence-based guidance, I help clients uncover emotional, mental, and spiritual insights, leading to an opportunity to have greater fulfillment and resilience in the face of life’s challenges. My therapeutic practice is grounded in multiculturalism, feminism, and a deep understanding of sociopolitical factors, ensuring that each client’s unique identity and experience are respected.
Currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marymount University, my academic journey includes extensive training in substance use, family counseling, crisis management, and grief. I presented my research on the misdiagnosis of trauma patients at the MR-CA conference in Germany, highlighting my dedication to advancing my professional expertise. I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Virginia.
I am a DMV native with Eastern spiritual influences shaped by my experiences in India and my mother’s yoga practice. My personal interests include reading fiction, yoga, fashion, interior design, and tarot. When not working with clients, I enjoy rewatching sitcoms with my cat and trying new restaurants.
