Otto is a certified therapy dog that works with our therapist Diana Jordan, providing clients with a nonjudgmental space to express and explore their experiences through animal-assisted therapy. Diana is a Certified Animal Assisted Intervention Specialist (C-AAIS) and believes that resilience comes from strengthening one’s self-understanding. Otto and Diana take a collaborative approach with clients as they work towards their goals, practicing through a culturally informed lens and working with a diverse range of clients. Otto enjoys assisting clients who are experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship issues. Otto and Diana aim to empower their clients through increased self-efficacy and use an integrative approach that is grounded in Adlerian theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Diana holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University where she majored in Psychology and Economics. She most recently worked at The Pauling Institute in Washington, D.C and is currently offering therapy services through Jordan Integrative Counseling, LLC under the Supervision of Lori Flick, LCPC.
With years of training and a gentle temperament, Otto offers comfort and support to clients. His calming presence helps reduce anxiety, supports trauma recovery, and fosters a deeper connection between clients and their therapist. When he is not working hard, Otto enjoys running, playing fetch, lounging in the sun, and being a very, very good boy.
