Bobby specializes in working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem issues, relationships, career and life transitions. His approach is trauma-informed and holistic, integrating somatic awareness, Internal Family Systems/Parts Work, and mindfulness to help clients build resilience and self-understanding. Bobby works with adults of all ages and has extensive experience supporting people within the LGBTQIA+ community, professionals managing career stress, individuals in life transitions, and those recovering from trauma and substance use challenges.
His practice integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Therapies, and Mindfulness and breathwork. These methods help clients reconnect with their bodies, regulate their emotions, and explore their inner worlds with gentle curiosity. Bobby has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including private practice, substance use treatment programs, hospital-based mental health services, and LGBTQIA+ support centers.
In addition to his clinical experience, Bobby has a background in advertising, marketing technology, and entrepreneurship, including leadership roles in retail and hospitality. His unique professional path allows him to deeply understand the pressures of career transitions and professional burnout. He also has a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and a Bachelor’s in Journalism from Baruch College. He is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
While he earned his MSW in 2011, his career has been anything but traditional. After starting in clinical practice, Bobby followed his entrepreneurial spirit into the corporate world, working in marketing technology and digital advertising. He also built and sold a home decor business. These experiences deepened Bobby’s understanding of professional transitions, stress, and the demands of leadership. Now, with a renewed focus on therapy, he brings a broad perspective that blends clinical expertise with real-world experience to support his clients in both personal and professional growth.
Bobby was born in Australia, raised in New York City, and has lived and worked in California. In his free time, he enjoys yoga, meditation, cooking, baking, gardening, and exploring new destinations.
