Andrew Flurer strives to create warm, empathetic relationships with his clients so that they are inspired to pursue happiness and become their best selves. He believes it is his role to facilitate client self-understanding and help them develop skills for long-term wellness. Andrew enjoys assisting clients who struggle with issues such as depression, anxiety, and stress management.
Andrew is passionate about serving the LGBTQIA+ and ethical non-monogamy communities. His client-centered approach includes aspects of solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, gestalt therapy, and mindfulness. Additionally, Andrew’s approach examines the impact of systemic oppression such as racism, misogyny, and queerphobia. He serves clients both in person and virtually.
Andrew is finishing his third and final year of his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trinity Washington University, and he also has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from The George Washington University. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, sport and fitness pole dancing, board games, and playing his Nintendo Switch.
